Tollywood Shifted Sides Already

Until 2014, A lot of Film Celebrities used to be loyal to Telugu Desam Party. The situation continued even after Chiranjeevi floated Praja Rajyam Party in 2009. Drastic change can be noticed post 2014 General Elections. TDP kept losing its presence in Telangana gradually. And the way it handled a sensitive issue like Special Category Status hasn't gone down well with the Film Celebs. While TFI Celebs were arrested during Visakha Beach Protest for Special Status, TDP Leaders made a self goal by alleging Tollywood isn't joining the movement for Special Status. Nandi Awards controversy damaged the image of TDP so much. Several Film Personalities didn't hesitate to describe them as 'Kamma' Awards.
The so called Film Industry in Andhra Pradesh is yet to be established. While Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao claimed TFI will shift to Vizag, Film Corporation Chairman Ambika Krishna talks about bringing Tollywood to Amaravati. Why would Film Industry shift to AP when it have all the facilities in Hyderabad?
During 2018 Telangana Assembly Polls, Most Film Celebrities favoured TRS and some of them have been vocal about their support to the Ruling Party. None of the Film Celebs dared to extend their support to TDP. Had they foreseen the defeat of Mahakutami? Or Whether they had shifted sides long ago?
