The unexpected Corona pandemic created a lot of troubles for the Telugu film industry. With the theatres forced to shut down, the exhibitors are facing a lot of financial troubles with zero cash rotation. Analysts say that it may take a lot of time to return back to normalcy. Producers who spent heavily may not get the same amounts of money life before and they may have to sell their films for fewer rates. The Producers Guild and other associations of distributors met a couple of times to discuss the proposal of cutting down the big actors remunerations.
The Producers Guild decided to cut 20% off the artists paycheques but the filmmakers are not able to implement them. Insiders say that the actors and actresses have hiked their remunerations and signed new projects. The filmmakers are not able to force the artists due to their huge demand and no maker is willing to take the risk of making the actors angry. We need to wait and see what happens in the coming few weeks.
