Tollywood To Embrace Big Change!

The Corona pandemic has resulted in an economic crisis all over the World. Tollywood is no exception for Corona and already few producers are feeling the heat! The latest news doing rounds in Telugu Film Nagar is all about the cut in budgets of the films and remuneration of the stars and lot more.

It is said that already the Producers Council is in talks with the big stars to reduce their pay cheque and thus help the producers. It is evident that producers get the money from financiers and banks with lot of interest. The RBI has already announced moratorium on loans taken and gave enough time for EMI's but that's not going to be of greater help to producers.

The reason is obvious, the major chunk in the film making budget goes to the actor's remuneration. If the star's like Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, Prabhas, Ram Charan, NTR, Allu Arjun and the likes decrease their amount to at least 25%-30% then only the crisis gets resolved as of now.

The top technicians like Cinematographer, Editor and almost everyone are advised to go for a cut in their pay and help the producers. Many films like Powerstar-Krish film and Nithiin's 'Rang De' have aborted the plans to go for International destinations for their film sequences. The States like Kerala have closed doors for tourists too until the year end. Now all filmmakers have to somehow make their films in Hyderabad itself.

The Producers are now planning to hold meetings with the stars and production units to go for cost cutting measures so that in the future the Industry would be reliable yet again! As of now only small budget films would be helpful for all as money can't be generated in this crisis!

In the past Producers have requested and pressured stars to cut down their remuneration but none listened. Now Corona has changed the minds of Producers and Stars to strictly cut down the making costs in this times of crisis.
