Accents or dialects in a movie are very effective. It has become a trend in recent times that actors are trying out different dialects in their movies. It is without any doubt that the actor's potential really comes out when he decides to step out of his comfort zone and impress the audience in a dialect that he never spoke before.

For example, we saw Ram Pothineni learning the Telangana accent for 'Ismart Shankar' and scoring a huge hit. The mass audience liked his performance in the movie. The accents are different from one area to another in Telangana too. Hyderabadi slang is different from rural Telangana slang. Also, we have different slangs in AP like Chittoor slang, Godavari slang, Srikakulam slang, Rayalaseema slang, Guntur slang and many others. The filmmakers are using all types of slangs effectively to connect with the audience. They also enhance the emotions during some scenes.

Late Rao Gopal Rao used to have a unique dialogue delivery which got the plaudits of everyone. Kota Srinivas Rao excelled in delivering dialogues in various dialects. A lot of actors from Uttarandhra are getting opportunities in Tollywood. They all became popular through their accents. Rao Ramesh proved that he is an expert in delivering dialogues with a Godavari accent.

For example, Satya is an actor from the Godavari region. His natural accent helped him in making his own mark in the industry. Mudhunandan and Priyadarshi have aced the Telangana since they are native in that region. Even Pammi Sai has made a name for himself with his dialogues in the Godavari accent.

There is a special affiliation for Tollywood towards the Srikakulam accent. Shekar Kammula presented this accent in a new way in 'Happy Days'. A lot of actors gained fame with this accent. Currently, Naga Chaitanya and Chandoo Mondeti are doing a film in Sreekakulam backdrop. Sources say that Chaitanya is trying to learn the accent before starting the film. He spoke in the Telangana dialect for 'Love Story'. Even Vaisshnav Tej spoke in a Godavari accent for his debut flick 'Uppena'.

We all know Vishwak's typical Hyderabadi Telangana style of mouthing the dialogues in most of his movies. But he is trying something new and is making a film with East Godavari backdrop. He is trying his best to get the accent right and actor Praveen is specially training him. We have seen Ram Charan acing the Godavari accent in 'Rangasthalam' and even Anasuya was impressive with her dialogue delivery. We all know how Bunny impressed everyone with his Rayalaseema dialect in 'Pushpa' and the second part is coming soon.

Directors like Puri Jagannadh, Sreenu Vaitla, Trivikram and Sukumar give a lot of importance to language and dialects. They extract the best from their actors and they knew how to make the scene better with dialects.
