Tollywood is known for importing villains from all over the country. They brought in many stylish villains into Telugu cinema and pay huge amounts for them. But that scenario is going to change now as per the insiders.
At a time when even heroes are forced to take a cut in their paycheque, who would want to import villains from other languages and pay them a bomb? Experts are saying that things are going to get tough for such artists who take a crore or two for each film. Senior Bollywood heroes like Jackie Shroff used to demand around 5 crores per film as per the sources. All such North imports may not get the big fat remunerations they expect anymore.
Even talented Tamil hero Vijay Sethupathi may also find himself in a difficult situation. Production houses who locked them already are reportedly considering having renegotiations with them. If this scenario continues, we may see more of local artists getting meaty roles in our movies.
