Rarely does Films which received poor reviews and opened to mixed talk set the cash registers ringing. Now, Sunil-starrer 'Jakkanna' is making news for all the same reasons.
Made with a budget of Rs 12 crore, 'Jakkanna' collected a Gross of Rs 16 crore within two weeks. Notably, It collected around Rs 6 crore on Day 1 alone. Most of the revenue has come from the First Weekend itself.
Surely, Sunil will breath a sigh of relief after ending the flop streak with a decent hit against all the odds. Even Critics and Trade Pundits were shocked to witness the impressive revenue generation despite poor content.
Director Vamsi Krishna can't ask for anything better. Producer Sudharshan Reddy feels that his 3-year wait after a blockbuster like 'Prema Katha Chitram' has paid off well. He wishes to do many more films with the Comedy Hero.
