Hrithik Roshan has been silent at the box office after Krrish-3 and even that film couldn't really impress audiences on par with Koi Mill Gaya & Krrish but it collected huge.
Due to the reported manipulation in the collections by producers, movie did not get much credit for its box office performance as well.
For almost 6 years, Hrithik Roshan fans have been waiting for him to deliver a raw action film and he did it with War.
Movie with combined might of Hrithik and Tiger Shroff, who grew a base in mass circuits with Baaghi films, opened to a huge number - 52 Crores Nett on first day. It is a record for any Hindi film, including Baahubali Hindi version, in India.
No one came close to Baahubali, Saaho and 2.0 opening all over India, in different languages but only Hindi versions of those films were topped by Thugs of Hindosthan, last year and now, War.
War collected Rs. 166 Crores Nett till Sunday and it is expected to end with Rs. 200 Crores Nett by the end of First week, as Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are holidays in major parts of India.
Bharat starring Salman Khan, performed well on Eid weekend but then fell flat on first Monday and ended up just crossing 200 crores Nett Gross.
Kabir Singh and URI are top 2 grossers as far as Indian Hindi language releases but Avengers EndGame and Saaho lead the pack if we consider all language releases.
Now, trade pundits are estimating Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff to propel War to a massive 300 crores Nett beating Kabir Singh by the end of full run. As the film doesn't have considerable competition till December releases, it could be a possibility.
