Trade Talk: Lingaa heading towards disaster!
By: Tupaki Desk | 18 Dec 2014 6:05 AM GMTAlthough 'Lingaa' had a pretty good first weekend, The revenues on Weekdays have been very depressing. The occupancy is upto 15% in Morning Shows and upto 55% in Evening Shows. At this rate, 'Lingaa' is likely to incur a loss of Rs 50 crore.
Reportedly, 'Lingaa' has to recover a share of Rs 80-85 crore more after its First Weekend (Rs 47 crore). The film is performing decently in Tamil Nadu and few cities in Telugu States.
Eros Internationals which acquired All India Theatrical Rights from 'Lingaa' makers willn't be loosing much as they sold out the film prior to the release. Only in the Telugu states and few other territories, Eros went for own release as the offers from distributors weren't pleasing. Its the local distributors and buyers who will be incurring huge losses for paying fancy prices.
