Trisha's Awards Domination Sparks Doubts
By: Tupaki Desk | 23 Feb 2019 5:41 AM GMTStarring Vijay Setupathi and Trisha Krishnan in the leads, the movie 96 has become a blockbuster at the box-office. Though the movie released last year, the film still managed to be in the discussions of the cine-goers. The latest controversy is all about how the film's leading lady Trisha managed to out-shadow all the other female actors last year to grab the maximum number of awards. From Behindwoods Gold Medals to the recent TSR National Awards, Trisha managed to get her recognition at all the award events.
On one side, Trisha's fans are happy with the inconceivable achievement of the actress, but on the other hand, there is also a discussion about not recognizing other talented performers who did impress the audiences last year.
Eeshwari Rao from Kaala, Aishwarya Rajesh and Andrea from Vada Chennai, and a lot of other female actors too delivered career-best performances last year, but it is only Trisha who swept all the awards. Though some netizens who couldn't digest the achievement of Trisha commented that Trisha managed the jury/selection committee, it holds no truth. She might handle one or two awards but sweeping all the major awards is nothing but a dream come true. Staying on the media for a long time and always being in touch with her followers and interacting with the critics might have made her success remain for a long time.
She has declined the request of acting in the remake of the movie in Telugu version, and Dil Raju finally got Sharwanand and Samantha on board to play Vijay and Trisha in the remake. Prem Kumar who directed the original is directing this movie which will hit the floors soon.
