Devi Sri Prasad is known as Rockstar DSP and he enjoys that recognition kore than anything else. He even introduces himself at performances as such.
Off late, his music hasn't been equally popular as before and he doesn't really come off as a person caring about it much.
SS Thaman did get a bit complacent and his work got trolled so much that Industry for a time period of 2 years showed no interest in his music.
But he went on to score music for smaller films and then grew back in popularity as none others could sustain their initial success. He delivered a hit like Tholiprema but still he is trolled harder than anyone.
For the first time, DSP is feeling that heat. He maintained highest quality in his music for over 13 years since his debut but from past 4 years, his music quality has been declining.
With each album he seems to have become complacent. Except for Rangasthalam, Khaidi No. 150, no audios of his, have really boosted the market of a film.
Now, his next big film, Maharshi is getting trolled because of him. He sang the first single released from the album. And his voice is being called names and his tune is said to be a recycle of his old songs.
