Producer Feared That 'Tuck Jagadish' May Become Another 'Vakeel Saab'!

It is well known to everyone by now that Natural star Nani's upcoming film 'Tuck Jagadish' will be releasing on Amazon Prime Video directly on 10th September. This decision by the makers was met with a mixed response. Even hero Nani tried to persuade the producers to opt for a theatrical release but the makers decided and went ahead for an OTT release. While the exhibitors are not pleased with it, producer Saahu Garlapati gave clarity on it.
He said, "There is a fear of third wave among everyone and it is risky to release our movie at this time. 'Vakeel Saab' was running successfully with good talk while the second wave became severe and theatres were forced to shut down. A lot of neighbouring states did not open single screens event now and the situation in overseas is quite worse. Only three shows are allowed in Andhra Pradesh. It is not our first priority to sell the film to OTT platform. Infact, we get less money from OTTs than theatrical business. You can understand it by looking at the collections of movies like 'Uppena' and 'Jathiratnalu'. Every producer, director and actors want to show their film to the audience on the big screen. 'Tuck Jagadish' was completed long back and we waited for things to get better and we decided to release it digitally as we couldn't hold it any further. 'Tuck Jagadish' is a family film and we can enjoy it on the festival day with the entire family."
Ritu Varma is the heroine in this project which is directed by Shiva Nirvana. Thaman composed the songs while Gopi Sundar scores the background music.
