Tupaki Effect: Harish-DSP Friendship Gets Stronger!
By: Tupaki Desk | 15 Oct 2019 9:32 AM GMTWriter-director Harish Shankar's recent outing 'Gaddalakonda Ganesh' with Mega Prince Varun Tej was a runaway hit. This adaptation of 'Jigarthanda' received a lot of applause. Especially, Mickey J Meyer's mass songs and thumping background score won a lot of appreciation. Actually, it was Devi Sri Prasad who was supposed to score music for this film but he opted out at the last minute. This paved the way for rumors of a rift between Harish and Devi.
When asked about this in an interview with Tupaki, Harish gave clarity over this issue. He said that he planned a remix song in the film and DSP has a no remix policy. He added that "Not remixing songs was his principle but I thought that I could convince him. But, he softly disagreed to remix the song and rejected this film by saying that we will work on another film together. It was my fault and we are both good friends".
Responding to this, DSP posted this video and tweeted, "Thank U Dearest Sirr iii @harish2you 4 d lovely words n a beautiful clarification. Hats off to ur Honesty My Lov n Respect for you have increased! & of course, I am also waiting for n wud love to work with U very soon". Harish replied to this post saying that, "Sir Ji as I always say apart from a great composer, you are a great human being which is also very inspiring for me love u Sir jee..".
It is great to see two friends clearing the air and getting even closer just with a casual conversation.
