As we know, the teaser of Prabhas' upcoming film 'Adipurush' has been released on 2nd October. The makers organized a huge event in Ayodhya and created a lot of hype around the teaser but it ended up getting mixed reactions from the public. A lot of them are claiming that 'Adipurush' looks like Ramayana for kids and are trolling the makers for spending hundreds of crores for such unrealistic visuals.
As we know, SS Rajamouli might not have made a mythological film but he surely knows how to make grand-scale films set in period backdrops and fantasies. Movies like 'Magadheera', 'Baahubali' and 'RRR' are prime examples of that. Keeping it aside, SS Rajamouli's brother SS Kanchi who is well-known to the Telugu audience through his comedy roles in 'Sye', 'Maryada Ramanna', 'Amrutham' and others has made a tweet that is creating a huge controversy.
He made a tweet in Telugu which translates to, "A mythological film should be conceived and executed only by a Telugu director." This comment has triggered not just one but two sections of movie lovers. Fans of Prabhas were unhappy with this tweet as they claim that it is aimed at the recently released teaser of 'Adipurush'. They say that it is a dig at director Om Raut who made the story of Ramayan with Prabhas. They are criticizing Kanchi due to this.
Apart from that, a set of Tamil audiences who are admirers of the recently released 'Ponniyin Selvan' are also triggered. While this movie based on the Chola kingdom got a good response in Tamil Nadu, it is getting mixed reactions from all other parts of the country. With comparisons being drawn between Rajamouli's 'Baahubali' and 'PS - 1', SS Kanchi's tweet has not gone down well with them too.
