Two Films To Decide Bollywood's Fate This Year!
By: Tupaki Desk | 18 Nov 2022 1:06 PM GMTThe Hindi film industry is at its lowest point in the past four decades. It was the face of Indian cinema for a long time but South Indian films are coming up with fresh and innovative scripts most of the time along with larger-than-life films that are pushing the boundaries. They are getting universal applause while Bollywood films are unable to connect with the viewers for some reason.
Barring a few like 'Gangubai Khatiawadi' and 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2', a lot of big films backfired. Films of big heroes and medium-level heroes are unable to get minimum collections. Ranveer Singh who is supposed to be the craziest star hero in Bollywood at the moment has faced two flops like '83' and 'Jayeeshbhai Jordaar' in the past four months. Movies like 'Brahmastra' ended up as cost failures and we all know the number of flops Akshay Kumar gave in recent times. Even Aamir Khan tasted failure with 'Laal Singh Chadda'. There are a few movies that got positive responses initially but they did not translate into collections.
At such a time, two interesting projects are arriving in Bollywood and they will decide the industry's fate this year. Ajay Devgn has arrived with 'Drishyam 2' on Friday and it was released on a grand scale. We all know that it is a remake of Mohanlal's movie with the same title and Venkatesh already remade it in Telugu. Shriya will be seen as Ajay's wife while Tabu will be seen as the police officer. We need to see how it performs on the commercial front.
The other movie is Varun Dhawan's 'Bhediya' which is coming out on 25th November. While Ajay Devgn's film is a suspense thriller, 'Bhediya' is a horror thriller with good entertainment. The trailer was quite impressive and the songs became a hit too. The story is about a man who turns into a wolf at night. This kind of movies are new in Indian cinema and we need to see how it turns out. They are the only big releases in 2022 barring Ranveer Singh's 'Cirkus'.
