Prince Mahesh Babu is turning 40 today. The beloved prince of Tollywood born on August 9 1974 and by today he reached 40 mark.It might be hard to believe the fact If we go with his looks and charm.Whenever the name Mahesh Babu is taken, it tends to send a tingle down the spine of many girls and they end up skipping a heartbeat. The superstar has earned a massive following in girls of all ages throughout his career and the list continues.
Being a son of super star Krishna Mahesh easily got entry to films but he strived hard to settle down his place in tollywood.Mahesh Babu faced the camera at the age of four as a child artist in 1979's Needa. His first leading role was in the film Rajakumarudu, which was released in August 1999.
Mahesh Babu, recently has completed 15 years of his career in the Telugu Film Industry.His first movie as a hero came out in July 30, 1999 with Rajakumarudu, directed by K Raghavendra Rao with Preity Zinta as the lead actress. After that he never had to look back. He has delivered a series of big hit films like Murari, Okkadu, Pokiri, Dookudu, Businessman, SVSC.
In his 15 years career Mahehs earned many awards.Amongst them are 7 Nandi Awards, which in till date the highest number of Nandi award to be rewarded to any hero of the same generation. He won the best debut award for his film Rajakumarudu, Special Jury award for Murari and Takkari Donga, Best Actor for Nijam, Athadu and Dookudu.
Mahesh Babu has received the Filmfare in the Best Actor category four times for his films Okkadu, Pokiri, Dookudu and Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. This chocolaty looked charming boy in his career tenure of 15 years have worked in 19 films as the main lead and his 20th film Aagadu is on the floors.
In addition to the films, he also endorses several brands in Andhra Pradesh and South India. He was also the national brand ambassador for Thums Up.This famous celebrity also endorses products like Thumps Up, Navratna Oil, TVS, Amrutanjan, Provogue, Jos Alukkas, Vivel, Santoor, Idea, Universal, Mahindra and South India Shopping Mall.

Mahesh is the tough contender for No 1 position in tollywood and he is facing competition from Pawan Kalyan in recent times.Pawan has been in a great form lately with Gabbar Singh and Attarintiki Daredi, and has been inching closer to the No. 1 position. On the other hand, Mahesh has also going great guns as he recently delivered hat-trick hits .With Pawan taking the political plunge, looks like the race for T-Town's No.1 hero doesn't seem to be exciting any further.
