Unexpected Downfall Before The Landmark Film!
By: Tupaki Desk | 8 Oct 2022 1:00 PM GMTAkkineni Nagarjuna is one of 'Top 4' heroes who ruled the roost in the 90s and early 2000s. He is still going strong despite crossing his sixties and has a good craze. But his films are failing to perform at the box office in recent times. Megastar Chiranjeevi scored a blockbuster success with his comeback film 'Khaidi No 150' and got a decent hit with 'Sye Raa'. Though 'Acharya' was a flop, he is showcasing his strength through 'Godfather'. Balakrishna who faced continuous flops in the last two years showcased his mass stamina through 'Akhanda' and scored the biggest blockbuster of his career. Venkatesh is known for his consistency and is delivering successful projects one after the other.
But it has been a long time since Nagarjuna gave a blockbuster. After 'Soggade Chinni Nayana' which came out in 2016, he failed to deliver a single hit. His market got seriously affected by films like 'Officer', 'Manmadhudu 2' and 'Wild Dog'. He arrived on Dasara festival day with 'The Ghost' and it failed to register decent numbers at the box office. The average talk is making things even more difficult for the film as pundits expect nothing more than a 6-7 crore share at the box office.
Nagarjuna used to give tough competition to the other three previously but currently, he is unable to compete with even the medium heroes too. With his landmark 100th film approaching, his fans are worried that Nagarjuna might lose his craze completely. Let us hope it does not happen.
