Nayan stated that she disliked movies and did not have any interest in acting. She entered modelling while studying and got a chance in a Malayali film in 2003. She initially said no but the makers reportedly convinced her and Nayan told that she decided to act only in one film. But she got a lot of praise for her acting which made her sign 8 films in a single year and she is going with the same speed and energy even now.
