Upcoming Director Arrested Under IPC 376 on Rape Charges!!

India is a land that endorsed respecting and honoring women. The other countries, mainly the west, respect India for the same. Sadly, India which told the world to respect women has been seeing a rise in sexual harassment of women. The incidents are going up and the victims across the professions are facing this issue.
One such incident was reported from the Film industry after a filmmaker was arrested on the grounds of rape allegations. Going by a complaint filed by a woman the cops have arrested him and section 376 of the IPC was slapped against him.
Malayalam filmmaker Liju Krishna, who is busy working for his upcoming film Padavettu is facing allegations of rape. When a woman had filed a complaint against him, he was arrested by the cops from Kannur reportedly. As per the procedure, he was taken to a court.
The incident had shocked not only the Malayalam industry but other industries as well. All eyes are on the court to see what directions the court will give now. He was produced before the court and more details on this are awaited. The Police department said that the details of the victim cannot be disclosed keeping her privacy in mind.
Liju Krishna is all set to make a debut as a director with 'Padavettu'. The film has an ensemble cast like Nivin Pauly, Manju Warrier, and others. The director was arrested on the rape charges. The arrest was made on Sunday and he was produced before the court today.
