'Uppena' Gets A Release Date At Last!

Young Mega hero Vaisshnav Tej's debut film 'Uppena' has been kept in the boxes from a very long time. The film was all set to get released on 2nd April but lockdown forced the makers to postpone the film. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, 'Uppena' is a rural love story that has Tamil star hero Vijay Sethupathi playing the negative lead.
After a lot of delays, insiders reveal that 'Mythri Movie Makers' are planning to release this movie in the first week of February. The production team has spent around 28 crores on this film which is huge money to invest on a debut hero. Considering the present circumstances, it will be very tough for the makers to recover it.
Sources say that the film underwent a lot of reshoots which is one of the main reasons for the overshoot of budget. Sukumar is the co-producer for this film and Devi Sri Prasad composed the music. While there is a positive buzz on this film thanks to the addictive melodies of DSP and heroine Krithi Shetty. We need to wait for the official confirmation about the movie's release date. Since many films are releasing in the Sankranti season, 'Uppena' is expected to arrive in the first week of February.
