US drone strike kills four in Pakistan
By: Tupaki Desk | 3 Jan 2013 6:16 AM GMTFour people were killed early Thursday when a US drone strike targeted a house in Pakistan's South Waziristan area, bordering Afghanistan, Geo News reported.
The strike, carried out around midnight, was the first US drone strike in 2013.
An unmanned aircraft fired missiles at a house, suspected of being a militant hideout, located in Angoor Ada area of South Waziristan, leaving four people as dead, sources said, adding that fear prevailed as drones continued to fly in the region.
Earlier, media reports said five people had been killed in the strike.
Last year, a total of 39 US drone strikes were launched in the country, mostly in its northwest tribal area of North Waziristan that killed a total of 274 people.
