#MeToo: Many Heroines Are Lying - Varalakshmi

Varalakshmi Sarathkumar came out against sexual harassment and abuse with Shakthi campaign. She addressed the issues that women are facing at the work place and also in Industry.
She talked about Casting Couch and said, "I will never believe any heroine who says she hasn't faced casting couch and harassment. They may not have accepted it but they would have definitely known and faced it.
I know many who are in fear of MeToo and are silent. They don't want their name to be revealed and are silently hoping that it will go away soon.
There is a major change in Kollywood as the fear of METoo made many change their ways and there are many who are not acting any of their urges.
This is a welcome change. May be previous generation heroines did not face this much off harassment but few stories are heartbreaking. I will not believe heroines who say nobody tried to make any cheap comments or behaved improperly with them.
We have to negate through such people for sure. At an young age, I did face harassment but now in my 22 films career no body dared as I am daughter of a famous star hero and who is influential otherwise too," said Varalakshmi.
She cleared the air about being in relationship with Vishal and said that he is a very close friend and she herself always insists that he should marry someone soon.
