Actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar shocking revelation of sexual harassment has stunned the World. This Star Kid is now planning to launch a campaign named #SaveShakti on International Women's Day (March 8th, 2017).
#SaveShakti campaign is intended to motivate women & young girls to stand up for themselves and speak about the sexual harassment. This signature campaign will be used to mount pressure on State Government to raise the count of Fast Track Courts & Mahila Courts to ensure justice is served without delay.
Varalaxmi demands State Government to set up a Stipulated Time (Maximum 6 Months) for delivering verdict in any kind of women harassment cases. She claims to have found out that conviction in women harassment cases is mere 5 percent. She also claims the demands placed by her are practically possible if Government is willing to change the situation.
Interestingly, Varalaxmi complains lack of Union for exclusively for women in Film Industry. She wishes to form a Women Organization with few influential people to obtain justice at the earliest.
