Drugs issue is the most discussed topic in the Telugu states right now. As Excise Department has served notices to several Tollywood celebrities, entire media attention is on the the investigation proceedings of the case. Even though there are other names, director Puri Jagannadh name most prominently heard in the issue.
The SIT officials have questioned Puri Jagannadh for nearly 10 hours yesterday. Puri has posted an emotional video message in Twitter later. On the other hand, Puri appears to be slowly getting some support from the industry. Mega family hero Varun Tej has responded on the Drugs issue during the promotions of 'Fidaa'.
He said that "Kindly don't call it a drugs scandal. They have just served notices. Investigation is going on. There is no second opinion on 'drugs are harmful to the health'. If we talk about Puri Jagannadh, he has very positive outlook towards life. He knows what to do to stay happy in normal ways. I was shocked to hear that he was served notices related to drugs case. I've never seen him taking drugs when I worked with him. He takes very good care of others who are around him."
