After making his debut with 'Mukunda', Mega Prince Varun Tej came up with a war drama titled 'Kanche' set in the backdrop of World War 2. Directed by Krish, this film received a lot of critical acclaim and brought a good name for Varun Tej. His daringness to accept such an offbeat script during the early stages of his career was lauded by many. The film went on to bag a national award too.
Currently, Varun Tej is the young hero from the Mega compound with the most number of hits. Not choosing routine commercial scripts worked in his favor.
