Venkatesh has always maintained that politics isn't his cup of tea. He was the one who opposed D Ramanaidu's Political Entry. Daggubati Family paid the price even after doing a selfless service to the poor and needy. After facing defeat, Ramanaidu was so disturbed that he decided not to be in politics anymore.
Ever since the news of Rana Daggubati essaying the role of Chandrababu Naidu in NTR biopic spread, It gave an impression that Daggubati Family is still supportive of Telugu Desam. Even a section of fans began aggressively spreading this propaganda with banners and social media posts.
Venkatesh & Rana Fans Association issued a statement to the Fans asking them to refrain from using the names/photos of their Favourite Heroes while making political statements. A clarity has been offered that neither Venkatesh nor Rana extended support to any political party. An indication has been given that Victory Fans have the freedom to support or work for any political party but their activities shouldn't pose a threat to the unity among them.
