Many Telugu literature enthusiasts by now would have been remembering the most funniest novel in Telugu literary history ever. A character, who was inspired by English comedians but completely Telugu at heart, Barrister Parvateesam. This is the first sattrical novel that tried to depict the problems of a Telugu speaking youth in English dominated cities. Actually, Parvateesam goes to London to complete his Law course and become a Barrister. Being new to the city and traditions he tangles himself into many troubles and thus ensue comedy of errors.
Literary Giant - Mokkapati Narasimha Rao
The novel was written by literary giant, Mokkapati Narasimha Rao, in 1924 and the Novel became a runaway hit with Telugu audience. Then, readers tried to adapt it into different forms of Theatre plays and it also inspired many actors to take up comedy on stage contrary to the serious drama that prevailed during the time. Barrister Parvateesam was given the distinction of being the toughest role to play on stage during the time.

On Barrister Parvateesam novel, a movie was written to screen in the year 1940, itself. Lanka Satyam excelled in the role of Parvateesam and being too modern for the times the movie did not become a box office money spinner. But literary enthusiasts gave the actor with a distinction of being the first ever person to enact such a tough role on screen.

Victory Venkatesh aka Venky, has excelled in comic roles before in his career like Chanti. The character being alive for these many years shows the strength of it and an actor like Venky would fit the bill perfectly. As 77 years are passed since a movie has been made on the subject, it would be fresh and unique if the makers can sync in for the present times. It should really be a match made in Heaven!
