Why was Venkatesh not signing any new projects in 2015? Its really strange to see an established actor staying away from shoots for about eight months after back-to-back hits in the form of 'Drishyam' and 'Gopala Gopala'. What could be the actual reason?
At one point, There were reports of Venkatesh playing Swamy Vivekananda and an another film in the combination of Maruthi. However, Both these films got shelved for undisclosed reasons.
The news of talks between Venky and Director Kranthi Madhav (Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju fame) surfaced recently but there was no official confirmation. Even Veeru Potla has approached the Daggubati Hero with a multi-starrer scripts featuring Raviteja in the recent past. Last but not the least, Writer Akula Shiva narrated a subject which is yet to be okayed by Venky.
Sources close to the actor say, Venky wishes to be part of only meaningful cinema after being in the Industry for so long. He is very choosey about the subjects these days and hence the long gap.
