Hats off Venky.. no more words !

Victory Venkatesh has done humorous roles.. sentimental characters in most of his films. Even though he is expert in doing such films.. the fact is that he can perform much better in serious roles. Movies like 'Gharshana' are example for such serious roles. He has even delivered superb performance in 'Drushyam' also. But audience will be shocked if they watch his serious character in 'Guru'. This will find the top place in his career best performances list.

Director Sudha Kongara has just copied the Tamil-Hindi version content in to Telugu directly. But still, the audience who watched original film are impressed with Telugu version.. the reason is undoubtedly Venky's performance. The audience who are directly watching 'Guru' who didn't watch the original are thrilled with the movie.

Surprisingly, when the actor in original gets the recognition for his wonderful acting.. the actor in the remake will not get the recognition even though he peforms well. When he acts like the hero in original, the people will call it a copy.. if he changes the style.. people will criticize him. But the audience who are mesmerized with the performance of Madhavan in the original.. also will say 'hats off' to Venky. Because he excelled in that role. His look.. physique suited the character very well. Comparatively, looks-wise Venky scores more marks.

In case of original, Madhavan travelled with Sudha for a long time because she was his friend. He has even provided additional screen-play for the film. As he could understand the charcter in depth.. he has delivered superb performance by getting involved in the character. That's the reason why audience see the boxing coach on the screen.. not Madhavan. Venky has taken up such a role and impressed the audience. It is not such an easy thing to do. But Venky pulled it off with finesse.

Venky's expressions in some scenes are better than Madhavan. The pre-interval scene where he expresses his pain through his eyes when his desciple is losing the game intentionally.. and an emotional scene in pre-climax.. are worth mentioning. To sum it up in one sentence..Venky has put his heart and soul in to the movie. Similarly, the result appears to be satisfying at the box office.
