Venkatesh to Remake of Marathi Blockbuster

'Sairat', the Marathi flick, stood as a sensational hit of 2016 by collecting Rs 75 crore so far. Comparing to the investment of Rs 4 crore, The returns were almost 20 Times. This is something very rare to happen!
Producer Rockline Venkatesh obtained the remake rights of 'Sairat' for all the four South Indian Languages. Zee Studios will co-produce the flick with Mr. Venkatesh in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
Touted to be a youthful love story, 'Sairat' stars Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru. It is based on the love blossomed between a lower caste boy who is good at studies/sports and headstrong upper caste girl who is daughter of influential political leader. This Nagraj Manjule directorial even bagged a National Award apart from commercial success.
Till date, Rockline Venkatesh failed to deliver successful films. While 'Power' stood as average grosser, 'Lingaa' has bitten the dust. Will the Remake change his fortune?
