Venky Mama first day Indian box office collections

Venky Mama released on 13th December as a gift for Venkatesh's birthday. Real life nephew and uncle, Naga Chaitanya & Venkatesh, acted as nephew-uncle jodi in the film too.
Movie opened to mixed reviews from critics and the word of mouth is expected to settle from Monday.
Suresh Babu, himself said to the press that a film's success can only be estimated with First Monday's response as first weekend will always have fans, audiences who regularly watch films flocking to theatres.
Anyways, movie became the highest Box Office first day opener in Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya careers. Movie opened slightly better than Chaitu's Majili and much much higher than F2, Venky's previous release.
Movie team is expecting family audiences to make the film a huge hit in coming weeks and Suresh Babu is planning for movie to stay in theatres after first week of January, till Sankranthi releases. Let's wait and see, if the movie has such long legs.
