Venky Mama team has been thinking twice and thrice about the release date after postponing from Dussehra date.
They are looking at 13th December or 14th January date closely. Ala Vaikuntapurramuloo and Sarileru Neekevvaru teams are confident about their films.
AVL is making more buzz for now, as Thaman's two singles from the movie album have become widely popular.
SLN has craze of Vijayashanthi returning to films as a bonus with director Anil Ravipudi already hinting at Okkadu throwbacks. Mahesh looks and Soldier theme are giving positive vibes to fans as well.
With two big films looking to take on each other during Sankranthi and Rajni-Murugadoss film, Darbar coming as additional competition, Venky Mama team is not sure about 14th January date, it seems.
If all three biggies work, Venky Mama could get neglected or lesser number of shows during the season, which will nullify the advantage and Entha Manchivadavuraa will eat into family film market as well.
So, Suresh Babu is looking at 13th December as the best possible date even though holidays won't start till 20th December. He thinks families will find Venky Mama more preferrable against Prathi Roju Pandage during Christmas season than strong Trivikram Srinivas and Anil Ravipudi films during Sankranthi season.
Also, USA market will be more fruitful during Christmas holiday season for Venky Mama than competing against Mahesh and Trivikram combined might in addition to Thalaivar Rajni's box office attraction during Pongal season.
