Vennela Kishore made a strong impact as an actor and comedian. He can try occasional roles that don't have him doing comedy all the time but he can't be doing serious roles with the image he acquired.
From Relangi to Chalam to Rajababu to Brahmanandam to Sunil, all comedy actors had such problem. Their image which grew beyond the limit had to face issues with trying different roles.
Ramana Reddy, Suryakantham, Allu Ramalingaiah could try different versions of the same role but not entirely different roles to their usual.
Relangi had to retire after he was forced to look at alternative roles in 70's and Brahmanandam could make a comeback but Rajababu lost most of his image after becoming a hero.
Chalam lost his image and popularity, also lost his money trying to produce films with him as hero that had him in serious roles.
Sunil is the latest example of trying to change his image and now looking to make a comeback. Vennela Kishore did try direction and writing but left them after Vennela 11/2 and Jaffa.
But the actor seems to be trying a horror film with Ninu Veedani Needanu Nenu and it hints at being a serious one. But Vennela Kishore is enjoying such image that he will get audience to laugh out loud just by his appearance.
So, it is important that the team balances it out smartly. Let's see, if they did so or will this be another experiment from VK?
