Ranbir Kapoor might have taken a gap of many years post 'Sanju' but the handsome hero is all set to give back-to-back treats to his fans. On September 9th, his 'Brahmastra' is getting released. The trailer generated a lot of buzz and the entire Bollywood pinned huge hopes on this supernatural action-adventure. Also, he is working on Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Animal' which is one of the craziest projects in Hindi. Rashmika Mandanna is the heroine in it.
But the immediate release of Ranbir is 'Shamshera' which is getting released on 22nd July.Produced by Yash Raj Studios, 'Shamshera' is being directed by Karan Malhotra. The trailer and songs which came out got a very good response. Ranbir is playing the father, Shamshera, and the son, Balli, in this revenge spectacle.
As a part of the promotions, the team released a special video where Ranbir Kapoor is interviewed by Ranbir Kapur on a chat show named 'The Other Kapur Show'. Kapur clearly has a history with Ranbir as he feels he was rejected from Saawariya because of his surname and not his acting credentials. The interview is quite hilarious as we can witness Ranbir roasting himself.
The story of 'Shamshera' is set in the fictitious city of Kaza, where a warrior tribe is imprisoned, enslaved and tortured by a ruthless authoritarian general Shuddh Singh. This is the story of a man who became a slave, who became a leader and then a legend for his tribe. He relentlessly fights for his tribe's freedom and dignity. Vani Kapoor is the heroine in this film which is releasing in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. This is a high-octane action-thriller made on a grand budget.
