By: Tupaki Desk | 30 Oct 2015 6:57 AM GMTAt the time when Scientists & Film Celebs across the country were returning their National Awards in solidarity with FTII Students and against the growing intolerance in the country, Vidya Balan declares she don't feel the necessity to walk in the same path. 'This honour was bestowed on Me by the Country, not the Government. So, I don't want to return it!,' she told.
Vidya Balan's bold portrayal of Silk Smitha role in 2012's The Dirty Picture fetched her National Award in Best Actress category.
When asked about Politics, Vidya believes she isn't interested and wouldn't suceed even if she forays into the political arena.
FTII Students have been protesting for the past 5 months against the appointment of Actor-cum-BJP Leader Gajendra Chauhan as the Chairman of the prestigious institute. As many as 10 Noted Film Celebs have returned their awards in support of the FTII Students and in protest against attempts to curb individual freedom under NDA Rule.
