In the wake of the ongoing global crisis, a conflict is being happened in the Kollywood. Due to the nationwide lockdown, all the film related works and the theatres are shut by overnight. Even the ready to release films had postponed their release date indefinitely.
In the following suit, Star hero Suriya who is the producer of Ponmagal Vandhal starring his wife Jyotika decided to release the film directly on OTT. But Tamil Nadu and Kerala Theater Associations have opposed Suriya's decisions as they affect the survival of theatres in the future. They even warned him saying that they will ban his movies. But Suriya stuck to his decision neglecting all their warnings.
Meanwhile, a rumour is widely spread that Vijay and Dhanush are also thinking of releasing their films Master and Jagame Thandhiram directly on OTTs. But, they denied the news immediately and said they will release the film on big screens. With this, the situation turned like they opposed Suriya's decision.
However, the three stars maintain a good relationship with each other and no such misunderstandings are popping among them. A film release is purely a makers choice, whether to release it on OTT or theatre. Apart from that, there are no such incidents that stars oppose each other's decisions.
