Did Allu Aravind Earn Any Profit From GG?
By: Tupaki Desk | 28 Aug 2018 4:16 PM ISTMany times our producers tend to say that the movie business is where you lose money than really make any. Very few say that they make profits and others fake it, to be able to get dates of heroes and finance.
But when a big budget movie fails miserably, even the biggest and well-settled producers fail to make their money back. There are many examples for such situations.
When they really make a profit, what could be the margin? Few say if they don't sell off rights of the film, then in 85% of the cases they lose bigger than their production budget.
But when the rest 15% do make profits and hence, Dil Raju, UV Creations and Geetha Arts have distribution wings to release their own films and others too.
The real question is after so much hype and buzz, about the collections of Geetha Govindam, how much did Allu Aravind, made back?
According to the trustworthy sources, the producer did not sell off the rights of the film prior to the release and even those areas, he sold, he sold them on percentage basis.
So, his profit estimation quote is upto Rs.30 crores and he may make even more Rs. 10 crores after the movie satellite and digital rights deals are finalised.
So, he is looking at a solid Rs. 40 crore profit and the movie was made for just Rs. 10 crore. It is heading towards collecting Rs. 60 crores share.
