Savitri was not confined only to Telugu but she achieved same stardom and respect in Tamil Nadu also. It is known that a biopic is being made on Mahanati Savitri now.
The casting of this film appears to be interesting. 'Nenu Sailaja' fame Keerthy Suresh is playing the role of Savitri. Star heroine Samantha is appearing as a journalist.. Malayalam star hero Dulquer Salman is appearing as a Gemini Ganesan. Latest buzz says that 'Pelli Choopulu' fame Vijay Devarakonda is playing a crucial role in the film. He is going to appear as a husband of Samantha in the film.
Titled 'Mahanati', the movie is directed by Nag Ashwin. Regular shooting will commence from next month. Along with Telugu, this film will be released in Tamil also. As Keerthy, Samantha, Dulquer Salman has good fame in Tamil.. it is going to be a crazy project in Tamil as well.
