The pre-release event of Maharshi was held in a grand manner last night at Necklace Road in Hyderabad. Venkatesh and Vijay Devarakonda attended as the chief guests for the event. This is the first time the fans witnessed Vijay and Mahesh sharing the stage together.
Speaking at the event, Vijay said, " For every generation, there is an iconic hero. For my earlier generation, it was Chiru sir. For my generation, it was Mahesh sir. I still remember how I stood in front of Konark theatre for the tickets of Murari. Such a big fan I am for Mahesh sir."
"He always tweets about my films whenever he watches them. He tweeted about me for the first time when he watched Pelli Choopulu. I was overwhelmed with that tweet. (referring to Mahesh) Sir, please keep on tweeting about me," he added. Vijay's presence and this sweet speech have made the day for Mahesh fans.
