So many allegations are filed on Mersal movie that the film contain the dialogues against GST and hurt the feelings of doctors. However, all these allegations helped in the movie promotions which increased the craze for the flick. Mersal is doing exceptionally well at the box office and is creating new records.
Kollywood star hero Vijay is fondly called as Ilaya Thalapathy by the fans. His latest release Mersal hit the theaters recently on Diwali. The film recorded the highest collections in his career. In the first 6 days of the movie release, the collections grossed Rs. 84 crores which surpassed the record created by Superstar Rajini Kanth with Kabali movie which collected Rs. 75.2 crores. Mersal has re-written the industry records and topped the list by throwing Rajinikanth records to the second position. The worldwide collections of the movie is estimated to be Rs. 155 crores.
Mersal movie is going to be dubbed in Telugu and will be released with the title Adirindi. The makers initially thought of releasing the movie in both the languages at a time but things didn't worked out well. Powerstar Pawankalyan's friend Sarath Marar bought the rights on the movie. However, due to some obstacles the release of Adirindi is getting delayed.
