Vijay Records Least Day One Gross With Varisu!

His latest film Varisu was released the other day in a big way. But the trade numbers say that Vijay failed to create magic. The family entertainer Varisu fell short of Rs 50 crores gross on day one as it could see a gross of Rs 46 crores worldwide.
Even in Tamil Nadu Varisu cannot cross the Rs 20 crore mark in gross on day one. Despite the massive craze, he enjoys Vijay's film recorded the least gross on day one worldwide since 2017. However, there are a few reasons for this.
Tamil Nadu has less number of screens compared to Telugu states. Even in that half of the screens were allocated to Ajith's film. This impacted Varisu. If not for the competition from Ajith, Varisu might have recorded good numbers.
