Actor-politician Vijayakanth on Wednesday night admitted to MIOT Hospital in Chennai after testing coronavirus positive. He got infected during one of his party's (DMDK) recent event.
According to reports, the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) founder and party president has recovered completely and is likely to get discharged soon.
His party today released an official statement saying that Vijayakanth has recovered from coronavirus and visited MIOT Hospital for a general check-up. He showed mild symptoms and was treated for the same.
Meanwhile, his fans and party members took to social media to pray for the veteran actor's speedy recovery. Vijayakanth was last seen playing a cameo in his son Shanmuga Pandian's film, Sagaptham.
