They missed Chiru but did it with Charan

One of the few films the Mega family fans can't forget is Magadheera. The period love story which features Ram Charan and Kajal Agarwal was the biggest industry blockbuster and rewrote so many records. Speaking of the movie writer Vijayendra Prasad revealed some interesting facts. He stated that the story was not written for Ram Charan.
Sri Valli movie which is written and directed by Vijayendra Prasad is all set to make its release. On the pre-release event function of the movie, Ram Charan was invited as the guest. Speaking at that event, Vijayendra Prasad said some things about Magadheera movie. After the super hit of Simhadri Rajamouli was asked when will he do a movie with Megastar Chiranjeevi to which Rajamouli replied that it is everyone's dream to do a film with Chiranjeevi and Chiru has to grant these wishes. After a few days, they got a call from Chiranjeevi that he wants to do a movie with them. "We immediately wrote the Magadheera script for him and went to him. We have witnessed Chiru feeling goosebumps while listening to the 100 fighters scene. But due to some reasons, we failed to do a movie with him." Said Vijayendra Prasad. Rajamouli didn't want to do this film with another hero. But when the offer to direct Ram Charan's next film came, they picked Magadheera story and as a Mega hero, Ram Charan justified the role very well.
Chiranjeevi has a lot of fan following, and Ram Charan turned as a producer with his father's come back movie Khaidi number 150. Vijayendra Prasad admired that Charan has gained even more recognition with this film and stated that it is a golden opportunity for the Paruchuri Brothers to write the story of Chiru's upcoming movie Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. Paruchuri Gopala Krishna replied that if a writer can give only 10%, Chiranjeevi has the amazing ability to act 100%.
