BB2 Can't Surpass Dangal: Vijayendra

'Dangal' is not only successful in India but it went on to create a sensation in Chinese box office. It has become the highest collected non-English film in China. Before 'Dangal' release in China, 'Baahubali2' was holding the highest collected Indian movie tag. But Chinese collections made 'Dangal' reach the top position. It is known that 'Baahubali2' is yet to release in China. Fans are hopeful that 'Baahubali2' will beat 'Dangal' with China collections. Surprisingly, 'Baahubali' writer Vijayendra Prasad has a different view point.
He said that "I feel that Baahubali2 can't beat Dangal in China. They have seen several folklore stories, war based films like Baahubali. So, it will not work there. 'Dangal' story deeply connected to the Chinese people due to the women-centric plot and a daughter fulfilling the dream of a father." It is known that 'Baahubali: The Beginning' couldn't show the impact on the Chinese box office.
Even though Vijayendra Prasad's statements are disappointing for the fans, we should accept the fact. More than the competition between the box office performance of two films, we should see the phenomenal success achieved by the Indian films.
