Sunil who started his career by playing comedian roles turned into a lead actor. Despite having the acting talent, Sunil failed to receive hits as a hero. Except for Rajamouli's Maryada Ramanna, there are no notable hits in Sunil's career. His latest release Ungarala Rambabu also failed at the box office.

Acclaimed director Rajamouli's father Vijayendra Prasad penned the script of a movie in which Sunil is going to play the lead. Sunil really liked the script, he immediately gave greensignal. A well-known production banner is going to bankroll this project.
Currently, Sunil is starring in Malayalam remake movie two countries. The movie is going to hit the Silver screens next year. As soon as the shooting gets completed, Vijendra Prasad project will go on set. However the details of the director are yet to be known.
