Star Writer pockets Rs 2 Crore with BB Story

Script is of utmost important for a film to set the cash registers ringing. At times when most of the films were made with age-old story & illogical/unconvincing screenplays, The value for good scripts have only grown multi-fold. Promising Writers have always used this situation to their advantage.
YV Vijayendra Prasad was offered Rs 40 lakhs as payment for providing the 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' story. However, The Star Writer refused to offer his script for that price and demanded Rs 2.5 crore. Finally, The deal was closed for Rs 2 crore after few rounds of discussions.
The 70-Year-Old feels any film that fetches success and critical acclaim is bound to have a great story. He is a Director's Man when it comes to making any changes for the first time. He, however, doesn't change his script the second time even if its recommended by his son SS Rajamouli.
