Why is he writing "24" prequel?

Director Vikram K Kumar has announced that he has already started writing the 'prequel' of the film "24" and finished his script to a half. And he explained why he is writing the script.
"Actually 24 has left many questions unanswered like the one, why Athreya is in need of the watch badly and why there is hefty quarrel between the two brothers. That's the reason I've decided to write the prequel and finished half of the script already", said Vikram K Kumar today. He has indicated that Surya might take up the prequel too.
Meanwhile we've already revealed that Vikram is going to work with Allu Arjun and Mahesh Babu now.
