Badminton Guru Biopic In Bollywood

Latest trend in the film industry is making biopics. Several biopics are made in Bollywood and they are turning out to be huge money-spinners at the box office. Aamir Khan's 'Dangal' is also a biopic of famous wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat. Similarly, Bollywood filmmakers are getting ready to make a biopic on badminton champion cum coach Pullela Gopichand.
Producer Vikram Malhotra who produced movies like 'Airlift'.. 'Baby', is getting ready to produce Pullela Gopichand biopic. He is presently searching for the able director who can handle the biopic. Similarly, the search is on for the suitable actor to play Gopichand role on screen.
In fact, the proposal of biopic on P. Gopichand was heard few months ago. There was a talk that Praveen Sattaru said to be teaming up with Sudheer Babu for Gopichand biopic.. but the project didn't take off for unknown reasons. It is interesting to note that Gopichand's desciples Saina Nehwal.. PV Sindhu made it big and the preparations are going on for their biopics separately. Now, it's time for the badminton guru for the biopic.
