Versatility and Chiyaan Vikram Go hand in hand. He shot to fame by doing such films. Yet again, he followed the formula for his upcoming film Cobra. The makers have dropped the teaser and it looks promising. The short teaser is filled with thrilling elements.
The thriller elements are the key takeaway from the gripping teaser. The teaser talks about a criminal who does multiple crimes using the maths formula. The criminal poses a big threat to a level that a team of experts led by a special officer played by veteran cricketer Irfan Pathan, who is stepping into the shoes of an actor with the Vikram starrer.
With the teaser, the makers promised an edge-of-the-seat corner with the upcoming film. At the end of the teaser, Chiyaan Vikram gets arrested and the officers grill him in the custody to know if he is the culprit or not. When the officers ask the question, Vikram gives an evil smile, keeping the audience guessing if Vikram is a culprit or not.
Another interesting element is Vikram doing multiple get-ups. Through small glimpses, we get to see Vikram in multiple get-ups. Despite getting delayed the teaser has increased the interest and buzz for the film.
If everything would have gone as per plan, Cobra would have hit the theatres by now. But the film got delayed many times due to various reasons. The good thing is that the makers finally locked August 31st as the release date. The Vikram starrer is slated for a grand release worldwide on the 31st of this month.
R. Ajay Gnanamuthu has written and directed the upcoming action thriller. Chiyaan Vikram and K.G.F's Srinidhi Shetty paired up for the first time. S. S. Lalit Kumar bankrolled the film under his 7 Screen Studio banner. K.G.F beauty is making her debut into Tamil cinema with the upcoming film.
Ace music director A.R. Rahman scored music for Cobra and the film has an ensemble cast of Miya George, Roshan Mathew, Sarjano Khalid, Padmapriya, Mohammad Ali Baig, Kaniha, Mirnalini Ravi, Meenakshi, and K. S. Ravikumar. Harish Kannan and Bhuvan Srinivasan took care of Cinematography and editing respectively.
