Saamy is a 2003 Indian Tamil action film written and directed by Hari. Balachander presented the film while the movie was produced by Pushpa Kandasamy under banner Kavithalayaa Productions. The film stars Vikram, Trisha and Kota Srinivasa Rao in the lead. Music was composed by Harris Jayaraj. Now, a sequel is shaping up for this exciting project and it was titled as Saamy Square. Shibu Thameens is producing the second part of the movie that stars Vikram in the dual role with Aishwarya Rajesh and Keerthy Suresh as the female leads alongside Prabhu, Bobby Simha, and Soori in supporting roles.
Initially, it was rumored that the movie will hit the screens grandly for Dusshera but now it was confirmed that the film will have a grand release in September. The makers did not announce the exact release date but clarified that the September release is confirmed.
