Vishal's 'Chakra' To Release On OTT For This Diwali

Cyber-thriller Chakra, starring Vishal, Shraddha Srinath and Regina Cassandra in the lead roles, is one of the most awaited films in Kollywood. In the film, Vishal will be seen as a military officer investigating the theft of his Ashok Chakra medal, along with robberies in 48 other houses.
The film was supposed to be released on May 1. However, the release date was postponed due to the ongoing pandemic. Meanwhile, there were reports that Chakra will be releasing on a digital platform.
In a recent interaction, Vishal confirmed the reports that his film is all set to be premiered on a leading OTT platform for this Diwali. He believes that theatres would not be reopened for another one year in India. So, the film industry should survive only through other revenue generation platforms.
The film has only seven days shoot left and the team resumed the shoot with 35 members in Chennai. Directed by MS Anandan, and produced by Vishal, under his banner Vishal Film Factory.
